Join CCWS on the evening of Thursday, October 24, for snacks, drinks, and a free screening of the riveting 1999 ABC TV documentary film, "Iran: The Evolution of Revolution." The film chronicles the Iranian Revolution of 1978–1979 and the hostage crisis that consumed the United States throughout the pivotal presidential election year of 1980. These events put Washington and Tehran on a collision course and prefigured the media-saturated global politics of today. Before the screening, Professor Salim Yaqub from the UCSB History Department will offer brief remarks. He will also be available afterward to answer questions and engage in discussion of the film and its themes. The event is free of charge.
